MAN & NATURE

It is not often that I feel compelled to photograph nature without a human in the frame, unless it is a sunrise or sunset. As lockdown was eased, I became increasingly agitated seeing the amount of litter carelessly left in parks and shoved into overflowing bins, polluting the surrounding green spaces and waterways. Along with the daily agitation came the need to capture and document this disregard for nature and the lack of respect for those having to clean up the waste left behind. And so the project MAN & NATURE was born. Still in its infancy, the project has already evolved from discontent into an uncomfortable and sometimes haunting beauty. To me a reminder that we are resilient and even in dark times we will find light.
